I had an award for Politician of the Week then I would definately give it to Barack Obama. He is one of the few politicians that doesn't come across as sleazy. The reason I am going all Obama-fanatic for this post is because he has continued to do something that this blog loves most. He has reached across party lines to do his job of running the country better. His cabinet has added yet another Conservative. That is what America is all about:crossing party lines to better serve your country.
I leave all of you tonight on that note. Until later

Bush
Though I am in no way a fan of President Bush, I found myself cheering for him during Sunday's press conference when he dodged two shoes thrown at him by an Iraqi reporter. If only he could've dodged the recession the way he did that shoe. I can no longer be biased to President Bush based on my liberal beliefs. It is the clique-mindset that has plagued this nation for too long. Maybe if the Senators weren't so busy worrying about their parties well-being then the country would be better off.
What is the point of having elected officials if they don't do what we elect them to do and that is get things done quicker than the rest of us could. Get the job done. It infuriates me. The only saving grace is that soon the 111th Congress will soon sit and we can get things done faster.
Speaking of that, many things have intrigued me lately. If you look at Barack Obama's situation going into office, he matches up almost perfectly with President Franklin D. Roosevelt's. He is replacing the Hoover of our time. Bush and Hoover are similar as well. Both are not well liked amongst the people. President Bush also is president during the closest thing to a depression we've ever had since Hoover. Also Barack Obama and FDR both had high majority Congresses so they could quickly pass laws and make swift decisions. Also, the Supreme Court Justices are very conservatively placed, just like the Hoover years.
The major difference is that to pull us out of the Great Depression, it required the worst war this world has ever faced led by one of the most evil men of our time. The other major difference is that it took almost all of FDR's 4 elected terms to pull us out. With any luck Barack Obama can act faster with hopefully less war.
Now I named this blog The Corpse Party to symbolize the metaphorical death that goes into Major Parties. Kadavors can't speak or act for themselves. If they do move they are controlled by other entities. That's how America is now. If they do speak out they are usually being animated blindly by their parties policies. My point is to stop worrying about what other people will think and have an original thought. More important is to stop worrying about things that don't matter like homosexuals getting married or whether or not it should be legal to have more than 6 guns and just be an American and realize that families are going without food and people have no place but the street to sleep at night and come together to fix this economy. This isn't Blue country or Red Country. This isn't George W. Bush's country or Barack Obama's country. This isn't the CEO of Freddie Mac or the President of Chrysler's country. This is our country now let's fix it together.

The Corpse Party
I have decided to create a new blog basically outlinig my political feelings. It is called the Corpse Party as a sort of mock of how in order to get into politics you have to sell your soul to the devil. I guess I am more than anything, an anarchist but I feel that having a government also gives you security. I guess call me a hypocrite with a dream. I will start updating tomorrow.
